Money

It was 50 years ago today (well yesterday actually) that the first ATM appeared in Britain; in Enfield, North London.
Now to become a museum item.
The first person to use it was Reg Varney, of "On the Buses" fame.
I have used this terminal quite a few times before I discovered it was numero uno.
The article quotes Terry from Making Money.

I have a complaint.
My bank sent me a contactless card which I have been using for everything. It is brilliant.
Today, my bank contacted me, telling me I am over the limit.
How dare they. They told me it was a contactless card.

My local ATM has "FREE CASH WITHDRAWALS" printed prominently on the side but they've been charging my account every time I use it. I must write to the ASA.
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

I thought this was a problem only in the US. Now I see it is international in scope.
