Toughest I've seen for years - only solved three so far

Not helped by the ridiculously tiny font for everything
Using your old computer to shop for a new computer online is rather cruel

Blimey! I see what you mean - I though that the last one they did was quite easy, but I'm struggling with this one too. I've only got 6/20 so far - one of them is quite sneaky as its a plural of a previously well known/used title

If you click on the little image on the left of the box where you enter the book title you get a big version

That one is exactly what it looks like

I searched for
Code: Select all
(woman OR girl) online book

and tada!

All finished now - definitely the toughest I've done in years

Well done & ta for the above clue - it does seem a bit obvious now that you've pointed it out! In my defence, that sort of thing is, well, not my sort of thing

Had to do other things, so still only at 9/20, but will have another crack at it later.

Me and google are no longer on speaking terms
[regarding Alan Rickman] He had Tim Curry's ability to save the day by putting literally all the scenery in his mouth and gnawing on it like a deranged woodchuck.

Finally got the bloody musical notes one! :D Very annoying that it's bloody obvious once you've worked it out  but it's yet another book I've never heard of. Very clever clue though

Am currently at 16/20, but still stuck on the "Definitely here", the Aphrodite boat ring thingy, Amsterdam 77mm and the DANGER OF DEATH sign - I keep insisting that this should be Clear and Present Danger, but the website is having none of it . . . mutter mutter mutter

:D :D :D Yay! Did it - finally! That Amsterdam one had me foxed for ages, then it finally dawned on me to wonder why the clue was so small

That really was a proper challenge - well done Caboodle :thumbl:

Would love to win a year's supply of books but according to them:
What is a year’s supply of books? Good question. Based on a mini survey of booklovers we’ve calculated that a £250 (or €250) National Book Token can buy even the most avid book reader enough books to last a year.
Ha! I could get through that in a month! Possibly a week - The Folio Society's edition of American Gods is £75 for a start . . .
