I'm not sure how I feel about these going up for sale. I hope they are bought by a real fan, and hopefully make occasional appearances at any HisWorld-type exhibitions

Hopefully, Colin or Rob will buy them ...
Using your old computer to shop for a new computer online is rather cruel

I hope so! How did they end up on the market in the first place? My 'puter won't load the Mail website and just seems to freeze and then give up and chuck me out of the browser all together, so I can't read the full story*

*I like to think my laptop has developed it's own moral code and refuses to let me be exposed to that ghastly publication, but I suspect it's more to do with how many damn adds that website is festooned with and that my poor old tea-stained laptop is getting on a bit now, bless it, and just can't be bothered!

The story says that Terry gifted them to the anonymous seller some time ago. I certainly hope the official powers manage to get hold of them, although I hope Terry didn't want them destroyed as well as his unfinished works. It would be a wonderful fund-raiser for Alzheimers research or orangutan conservation to publish presentation copies for sale, cough cough, hint, hint.

<checks down back of sofa>
A 20p, an old pound coin and a biro.

Not quite enough, I suspect

Anyway, they're not even new, they've been written in already...
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

You could always erase the writing and create a palimpsest.
