Was rummaging around on viaplay (a Finnish subscription service I don't watch half enough) and I found "A cure for wellness. Rather bizzare movie directed by Gore Verbinski. I watched it on my 110" screen with the lights off and it definitely lent it the appropriate atmosphere, cold snowy finland outside, cat ignoring me form two rooms away. It's got an 8.4 on imdb and definitely falls in to the psychological thriller vein of things.

Also Umberella Academy - I've literally zero knowledge of the source material and it's definitely not your typical superhero show.

Got to see Captain Marvel last night. The tribute to Stan is really well done, and he managed to get in the film too!

I will say that once Merry gets to see the film she will never trust a cat ever again (not that she allows one to pass the house unannounced).

The youthing software is getting really impressive - Coulson and Fury look alot better than Laia in Rogue One.

(There are two extras in the titles)

I can't think of much else I can say without spoiling the film - other than it does link into the next film, you will probably want to see this film before seeing Endgame. (Though you could argue the trailers before this film include a spoiler :D )

I enjoyed the film. Humour, action and some good twists. Was interested to see the warning with the classification - moderate fantasy violence, implied strong language. What is implied strong language?
Loved the cat.
Fury was OK most of the time but Coulson looked like a shop mannequin.

Endgame

Er - WOW

Not sure what else I can say that will not be a spoiler. Except I might need to watch THE fight scene a few dozen times to work out who is doing what...

And Adrian claims this film contains proof that Thor's muscles are CGI...

Endgame - not the best of the series, but worth watching.
A few Wow moments and revelations.
Nice to see Stan make an appearance.
Don't bother staying to the very end as there isn't any teaser.

Saw Avengers: Endgame today. WOW!! What an emotional rollercoaster - am not ashamed to say I cried like a baby at the end.

I haven't seen Captain Marvel or the ant man/wasp woman films, so I didn't quite get why the glowing woman with a new hairdo or what Tauriel from The Hobbit were doing in it and there seemed to be a couple of glaring plot holes if you ask me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Chris Hemsworth's comic performance was particularly enjoyable, but I really hope Thor lays off the junk food and beer in future! Loved that Capt. America got to play with Thor's big hammer . . .

I agree with Sandra on the fight scenes - it's not always easy to see who's doing what to who, but I'm looking forward to seeing it again on DVD to give it another go.

THE Sarah Connor is back!!! and so is Arnie (Uncle Bob?) This could be good :D

Not sure about the casting of the actor playing the new dark metal Terminator though - he looks more like Sheldon Cooper

Just back from Aladdin 2019 (had to wait for it to be shown in a decent screen - we have a small cinema)

:!: warning this film contains earworms :!:

Some from the original cartoon, some from the stage show and some that are new. The new female empowerment scenes are very strong and the film balances well with the changes.

Saw Dark Phoenix
Good film but I am having a problem with understanding the timeline.

There's a timeline in the (non-Patrick Stewart) X-men? I'd already given up with that - especially after Deadpool started ridiculing them.

Oh there's a timeline
Whether it's an internally consistent, logical, sensible timeline remains to be seen.
