If only my insurance would cover dinner and a movie with Mr. Cumberyum...at least it would treat the symptoms

There is a certain breed of men, that just make us silly females do daft things, and acting like a pack of drooling gibbering loons is a mere tip of the iceberg .
Mr Cuberbatch has IT in every inch of his long lithe frame,.........Oh darn, cold shower time.

The Victorian set special episode will be available in select cinemas around the world and at Comic Con they gave a special sneak preview in which they've given Mr Cumberbatch the full Basil Rathbone treatment and put him in a cape and dearstalker and given him a pipe . . .

I wasn't perving over Mr C! I was thinking of someone else in a frock coat and it's been too blooming long since he wore it! Maybe I shall have to dig through his wardrobe when I'm round at his place this weekend....

Well, what did everyone think about Episode 1 of Season 4?

Never seen such hoo-haa in the below-the-line comments on the Guardian's review of a Sherlock episode as there was for this one. The apoplectic, erm, 'commenters' who had arrived especially to voice their views on the switch from Napoleon to Mrs T were particularly amusing . . . a

Although not one of the best episodes, I admit, I enjoyed it myself . . . well most of it. The ending, when Mary got shot, was not particularly well done - apart from the physical impossibility of being able to move faster than a speeding bullet, unless you are that certain someone renowned for wearing your underpants over the top of your lycra onesie, it was also fairly predictable. I've read the books, so knew it had to happen at some point, but was a bit disappointed by the actual event - it all felt a bit forced and unusually heavy handed and the back-story that led up to it was not a particularly strong plot line.
That said, I can't wait for the next episode tomorrow! :bounce:

Commenting of Grace's post in spoiler.
If she was able to move infront of the bullet it may be because it was not travelling very fast and not at a speed that would kill: just a bad wound.
Was she preparing to go away on another campaign?

I did not read the comments  but in my twitter stream I had a link to Marks reply to some of the critics points.

Loved Mark Gatiss' response to the critics :thumbl: many of which were very unfair.
I thought tonight's episode was back on form and loved the reveal at the end: to quote Darth Vader ' . . .Sister? . . .So, you have a sister? Well, well, well. So, was a Holmes the mastermind behind Moriarty'sdastardly plans all along? And how did Mycroft not know thatfar from being "secure" as he claimed, she was actually on the loose and had been for quite a while? The East Wind is blowing . . .

And why, oh why, didn't we get to see the text fromThe Woman? :bounce: They normally put every other ruddy text on screen, the teasers!
