Look at this wonderful take on the iconic American Gothic painting by Grant Wood that Paul Kidby has just posted (painted last year in acrylic on board) :D :D :D LOVING Miss Flitworth and Bill Door :D Reaper Man has always been one of my favourites and I had to do a adaptation of this painting when I was at art college myself, so I really, really, really hope that he releases this as a print, as it's just brilliant!!

Take a look over Miss Flitworth's left shoulder - is that a cat or the Death of Rats peaking out from behind the milk urn?

Having a tidy up this morning and came across this I did for my final art class at school in the third year aged 13 3/4. I think I had tried copying the cover of Guards! Guards! but couldn't do the dragon so used the eagle from Small Gods. The little wizard in the corner is my own addition. I think the disembodied hand was to give the chap with the shield a reason to cower behind it and because I couldn't draw Om.

Sodding teacher gave me 7 out 10 because I'd copied from existing artwork and not used my own imagination. He said otherwise he'd've given me full marks. He never gave me a 10 because he remembered how good my brother was at art and I never matched up. :(

At a guess that looks like it's in Alperton on the The Grand Union canal.

Paul Kidby has posted a some thoughts on his blog about Sir Terry and how his passing shaped his artwork for The Shepherd's Crown http://paulkidby.net/index.php/blog

Fascinating to see the first draught for the cover:

While beautiful, it doesn't feel quite 'right' to me - I don't think Granny would approve of Tiffany wearing an actual crown! I much prefer the presence of the faithful witches hat :)

One of the special things we have arranged for Nullus Anxietas VI is to get some custom artwork done for some card game rethemes.

We will have two versions of "Love Letter" (City Watch, plus Wizards and Witches in "Magic Missive") and a version of Pairs.

Artwork is by Katie Winchester, Simon Lissaman and Angela Cockburn

A sample of some of the cards is below.

So how can you get a copy of these? Well, unless you're at the convention, you can't. We will have one set of each in the charity auction, and other sets available to be played in Mr Shine's Thud Parlour (the games room), but otherwise, they will not be available, because we don't want to get in trouble with AEG, Cheapass Games, or Terry's Estate/Rob/The Men With Thin Watches.
