Endeavour

Postby steeljam » Mon Jan 25, 2016 03:10 pm

I recorded last night's episode of Endeavour. I watched it just now.
In one scene Inspector Friday gives a female constable some cigarette's.
"Keep the pack, stick them behind your notebook then no one will know."
"Thanks"
"Tip my old governor gave me; Seargent Vimes, Cable Street."

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking my coffee at the time.

Yep, spotted that last night too :thumbl: Was great to hear it and I loved the combination of my two favourite coppers in the same show - Vimes and Morse
Now if they could just get Bernard in there somewhere as well . . .

I watched it! This was the first Endeavour I've seen. I hadn't got round to it despite having watched Morse and Lewis pretty intensively a while ago.

The Wadfest Murder mystery last year was heavily based on Inspector Morse.

The Vimes, Cable Street episode is back on ITV Hub in case anyone missed it.
ITV3 Endeavour Series 3, episode 4 Coda

I watched that episode again, just to hear that line :D Love it when Terry references pop up in unexpected places.

The QI elves on Twitter and FB regularly post STP quotes too, bless their little point ears!

Am just watching Endeavour, but managed to miss the first 10 minutes due to absent-mindedness and am very confused - I think I've missed some vital information . . . or possibly an entire episode!

Why is Morse in uniform and why on earth is he sporting that dreadful 'tache? Why has his old guv'nor been disciplined and demoted? And lastly, why aren't they in Oxford proper?

Last night's episode (Apollo) contained the phrase "It's a miilion to one chance, but it might just work".

:D Yes, I spotted that too and it made me smile. I love how Fred Thursday always says 'mind how you go' too - which is something Terry often said.

I'm still struggling to remember why they all seem to have been demoted and moved to different nicks etc - do you remember why that is?
