Starz is US only, I thought?

The show is on Amazon Prime everywhere else in the world, from May 1 (Neil Gaiman has been telling people this all over Twitter when they've complained they can't get it legally and will pirate it).
I'm not sure how good Amazon Prime is where you are, but it is a legitimate way to pay for it.

Or we could just be patient and wait for it to reach a different station, or DVD/BluRay.

Folio Society is doing an edition of Amrican Gods. It's very pretty - but I'm not sure I'd need yet another copy (I think I have a UK paperback, two "Author's preferred text" US editions and another one we picked up by mistake) http://www.foliosociety.com/book/acg?gc ... lsrc=aw.ds
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

It looks beautiful, but at £75 is a bit out of my price range at the moment

I'll have you know my obsessions are carefully focussed. OK, this week I did discover I have 8 or 10 copies of the same rare Al Stewart LP (interstingly, half of them are genuine, the others are Russian forgeries) but now you mention it...

It's seems to be getting good reviews and even the majority of the BtL comments are very favourable . . . Will it ever be shown on terrestrial TV do you know or will we have to wait for the DVD?

Oook!

Saw it yesterday.
They changed a lot of the scenes, for better or worse, but the one that most sticks in my mind is the Vikings for which I would like to say, from the bottom of my heart - EWWWW! And, how did they have enough survivors left to man the boat after THAT?!?!
What ape? Oook! :book:

Well, after that display of worship, clearly Wednesday sent them favourable enough winds to get home

Well, I'm very glad I've read the book or I don't think I'd have had a clue what was going on!

Yes, Julia was baffled by about 80% of the non-story bits
We had to keep pausing so I could explain

But I had a problem understanding what was going on when I read the book.
Much like Stardust, things only became really clear when you got to the end.
Neil Gaiman is a bit like Douglas Adams, the book, the film, the TV series, the Graphic novel*, and the play are all slightly different to each other.

* Yes I am collecting the Graphic Novel.
