It's been in development for quite some time. There's been no news for a while, probably because there hasn't been news to release.

I've been aware (via Rob, and his good friend David Lloyd) that scripts had been written, but that's about it. Looks like they're about ready to start pre-production, assuming they can get the appropriate production partners.

Article says "BBC is said to be looking for an outside partner to help bring it to life." "said to be looking for a partner" is about a vague a hope as I can imagine in an industry which describes everything as a must-watch blockbuster.

Also, Rhianna says "Always wait for the official sources, folks." (Which of course doesn't actually say it isn't true...)

And now The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/ ... are_btn_tw says...

"Speculation was renewed on Friday with Deadline reporting that BBC Studios is working on such a project, titled The Watch, and that screenwriter and producer Simon Allen is attached to it. BBC has since confirmed it."

So how trustworthy is The Guardian? ;-)

Oook!

Don't know why, but the thought suddenly struck me - when* they do finally get to writing scripts**, one of them should be about capturing Albert Spangler

* any day now, I'm sure...
** Because there will be multiple seasons! :!:
What ape? Oook! :book:
