Excursion Monday?

Postby phazedout » Thu Nov 06, 2014 07:25 am

As I recall there have been on occassion excursions planned for the monday of an event, as we don't fly back to part for'n until Tue morning (stupidly early) I Was wondering if anyone who might be hanging around had any thoughts about what to do on the monday. Last year we drove up to Cardiff to see the Dr who Experince and wander around cardiff city for a bit, I belive there is a steam railway nearby but would appreciate your input on this especially if anyone else (non resident) is hanging around that long.

Kind Regards,
[regarding Alan Rickman] He had Tim Curry's ability to save the day by putting literally all the scenery in his mouth and gnawing on it like a deranged woodchuck.

Maybe you are thinking of the West Somerset Railway based at Bishop's Lydeard just outside Taunton?
I just checked their timetable; they are running steam trains on the saturday and sunday but not on the following weekdays unfortunately. Then again possibly you were thinking of a different railway that I am not aware of?
