Me neither, only because I was out getting my husband beer for Father's day when the announcement came!

With the hotel rates at £99 pound a night I need to think long and hard, especially if the flight is going to be in the £800 pound range. Image

Yeah, I winced, but I'm still going. It's not that bad.

Our hotel liaison is pulling her hair out! We're aware that July 8th and maybe other dates are showing as sold out on the hotel booking site. There are not, but we may need the services of Mr Tulip and Mr Pin to get this sorted properly. We will update you here and on social media when the issue is resolved.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you encounter any other problems, please contact us at hotel@nadwcon.org.

Don't know how big a problem that might be for people coming in early from overseas? I went ahead and held a room, but will have to give them a call to make sure they hold the right room type.

You're supposed to put that in the additional information box. I questioned the fact with the hotel liaison too since it wasn't very intuitive.

Please contact the hotel liaison at hotel@nadwcon.org if you have any issues or quirks. We have exclusive early access to booking so if you call the hotel they may not know what you're talking about.

Thanks,

We haven't quite decided how we're going to distribute badge numbers - we want to reserve some low-numbered ones for honored guests, after all.

chrisboote wrote:Our confirmation email doesn't give our badge numbers - we need those so we can show off!

You were the 43rd person to register.

phalarope wrote:Would like to know my badge number, though

You were the 70th person to register.

Hope that's helpful!

Booked my hotel but it won't let me book the Monday. I'll leave it to the Hotel Liaison to brandish stick :)

Booked my hotel but it won't let me book the Monday.

I tried to change my reservation to include the nights 3 and 8 July, but it wouldn't let me so I just canceled that booking and made a new one for all the nights I wanted. Are you looking to book the Monday before the convention or the Monday of the convention (i.e., 8 July)? In either case, you might try canceling and rebooking because the site seems to working okay now.

I'm also booked for two Worldcons next year, so it is that bad.

I did look for an info box, but didn't see one. I could have missed it though! I'll look again when I try to change my reservation.

Good to know! If I'm not able to change my reservation, I'll try rebooking.

Just tried changing my reservation to add the 3rd and it wouldn't let me, so it looks like I'll have to rebook and cancel. Although, some nights I'll be there on my own and some nights it will be double occupancy. I'm wondering if I should make separate reservations for the single and double nights. Will that be too confusing? Or I could just ask the front desk to change the rates accordingly when I check in.
