Flights ticketed! I do love how this kind of thing firms up once you start putting all of the pieces in place.

Now...costumes. Hmm. :?

Pfft, just kidding I already know who (whom? I'll rely on our proper English speaking brethren to correct me) I'm going to be. ;)

Just booked my flight! :D But also, . It was soooo expensive! No deals to be had apparently. But, it wasn't likely to get any cheaper so I went for it. Flying into Manchester, arriving on July 31st and leaving on Aug. 14th. Touring the area with Carol (phalarope). You have all been warned. 8)

Do you both like curry, as Rusholme is quite near.

I do! At least, I think I do. It's been a long time since I've had Indian food. We are usually up for trying anything!

And if you like Chinese, Chinatown is very close.
You might not have much time during the Con, but if you have some days to explore then there are many options.

Curry is English food - it's our national dish! Tikka masala was invented in Glasgow! (Cue CB to point out Glasgow is in Scotland and the creation tale probably apocryphal. But as I've said before "This may not be a fact, but it is true...")
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"
