IDWCon 2015

Postby Shivers » Thu May 01, 2014 12:44 pm

Greetings fellow Discworld fans!

I am delighted to announce that the 2015 Irish Discworld Convention will be held from the 2nd to the 5th of October, 2015, in the Cork International Airport Hotel. Have a look at our wonderful new website for more news and information! http://idwcon.org/

Tickets will be on sale on the Glorious 25th of May 2014, and details of how to book your hotel rooms will also be available then.

*takes off organiser's hat* I'm sure some of you will be seeing this multiple times, but for anyone not on the book of face, or those who prefer to converse here, thought it best to have it everywhere. Hope to see some of you at Spring Fling where I'll be doing this :bounce:

How many times have I said this sentence at DWCon in Manchester: "I will not go to IDWCon 2015"?

And still, I decided to throw my hat into the ring! For better and for worse, I am now badge number A162! Now I only need the money and an understanding girlfriend :)

PS: And I hope I will find someone to share a room with, given the hotel prices!

We've yet to announce our hotel room booking details, so the price you've seen online will likely be different to the one we've agreed, but I do wish you luck on the room mate hunt as soon as we do (which we hope will be very soon, we had to let the dear webmaster breathe a little after DWCon).

I amm pondering how to get there from the finnish lands at the moment, is it better to travel to dublin and get one of the (insanely expensive) hourly courk trains or fly direct?

I think I'll stick to the airplane for the whole trip, as I do not have direct flight to Dublin anyway.

As instructed by my better half (after she saw the confirmed guest list) we have committed! (and so we should be!) :bounce:
