now that depends on what you mean by "here"
your house
the state of wherever you live
the americn east coast
etc etc
of course you probably mean the forum, in which case both Essi and I are going

I think I just made a hotel reservation at the venue. Agony does not describe the process.

You're outside the UK, didn't the email work?
Using your old computer to shop for a new computer online is rather cruel

I wasn't about to send credit card details in an unsecured email.
The poor woman answering the telephone at the hotel obviously had zero idea of a) how the hold function works, and b) what happens when a limited supply of highly desirable hotel rooms becomes available to a functionally unlimited number of guests all at once. The phrase "Reservations are extremely busy, can you call back in 10 minutes" just won't do, particularly when I have been hung up on twice. I was placed in the 'queue' on the third call (that took 20 minutes of continuous re-dial) by saying "no I won't call back, I wish to be placed in the queue", then having the receiver placed on the counter until the reservations clerk picked it up.
