Hello, I'm long time Discworld reader from Spain, and recently become avid collector of Discworld merchandising. Very pleased to have arrived to this nice place!

Shhhh don't let Bernard know you're a collector. He has dozens of ingenious ways to empty your wallet...

only dozens, he's cutting back.
I'm phaze, been having Bernard empty my wallet, bank account and other means of financing for over a decade. Welcome indeed. Leave your sanity int he bucket by the door and your credit card and home address with Reb.

Hi there,

I'm Peter - 54 this month - and a big DW fan since The Colour of Magic was first published.

I live in Dorset with assorted humans , cats and dogs :-)

As a departure from the "day job" and as a post-50 challenge I started dabbling in the "black art" of acting a couple of years ago and really enjoy that.

For my sins I am now rehearsing with my local theatre group and will be playing my favourite character - SIr Samuel Vimes - in our performance of Jingo later this month. Scary and exciting! :-)

I don't know if there are rules about promoting such events so I will say no more but if people would like to know more or come along we'd be delighted to have more Sir Terry fans in the audience :-)

cheers for now

Peter

Hello,

I'm new, and I horribly miss Mr Pratchett.

Been a Discworld reader for ages, and am quite surprised that there aren't that many, um, "social media" outlets for fans to connect, but maybe it's more to do with forums being a thing of the past, and me being a thing of the past. The Disc had such a profound effect on my life that it seems almost insulting to just write the odd sentence about it and get likes, a forum is like, well, maybe a bit more...thorough.

The general input on this board seems quite sporadic, but whatever, I'd be happy with just saying that I miss Sir Terry more than ever right now. I don't wanna be a drama queen, but he saved my life a few times. I reflect, and no matter how bad things are, he has always been the pilot on the hot air balloon, whisking me gently over the landscape .
