Greetings and felicitations all.

Well this is my second foray into collecting Discworld stamps, I can't quite remember how I got into or out of it last time around (probably realised I was spiraling out of control!). I thought I'd introduce myself again anyhow.

My name is Lorna and I currently live in Irthlingborough though I move around a fair bit. I am an environmental scientist and would love to work in conservation, however I would also like to earn a wage at some point so am instead opening a comic shop branch soon (paperwork is a pain), which isn't a bad substitute in my opinion  I have been in love with Terry's books since I was in upper school. I'm pretty sure 'Good Omens' was the first title of his that I read, during break-times in the school library! I'm jusssst about to finish 'The Long Mars'. I'm sure many of you have a favourite but I don't think I would ever be able to choose!!

In addition to my Discworld and comic-book geekery, I also love Doctor Who, Minecraft, arts and crafts, gardening, and have a unhealthy obsession with stationery :P

I look forward to enthusing over stamps (and life!) with you all!
They'd come here to spoon and, on one memorable occasion, fork.

Hi
I'm from Tasmania (the "Apple Isle"), the island state of Australia.

I found this board when searching for Enod Blyton "bowdlerisation" posts and articles -the editing of modern editions was talked about in a thread here.

I was born wit genetic problems which has led to a lifetime of health difficulties - I've had to be taken across Bass Strait to the Australian mainland from time to time to see specialists which are not available in country Tasmania.

I hope to make friends here.

I think I posted something way back when the Disc was new. But I am going to post again, because I can.

I am middle aged, almost bald, overweight, overworked and grumpy.

I have two young daughters called Bryony and Jenna, and I married my amazingly beautiful and tolerant wife in 2009. We live in Bournemouth and I started collecting Discworld stamps in 2005/2006 but stopped (mostly) in 2009 due to lack of funds as weddings and wives cost lots of money. Children cost even more I have discovered.

Oh, I am known as Jim to people who know me, and people who don't know me I am called Jim.

That's a wrap
What would the world be like if everyone was nice to each other?

Hello all,

My name is Rob, I am 40 years old and I live in the lovely but occasionally scruffy seaside town of Southport. I have been reading STP's books since I was about 14 or so and have gained a lot of useful life advice from them.

Apart from STP, I read very little fiction with the exceptions being Jasper Fforde, Ben Aaronovitch and John Grisham. I read a lot of autobiographies and books about the First and Second World Wars.

I work as a bus driver and like to occasionally confuse my passengers by lobbing STP quotes in their general direction.

Hi Everyone.

My name is Amy and I am currently planning my Discworld themed wedding which is in December this year. I work in IT and currently live in Gloucester with my Husband 2 be and two dogs. The first TP book I read was A hat full of Sky and loved it. I wasn't able to buy any more TP books for a few years but in 2010 I got the full Discworld series for my birthday (I am spoilt). Since then I have increased the collection to most of the additional books and board games. For my birthday this year I am having a day trip to the Emporium and am so excited. I have got a lot of the stamps but originally purchased these to be part of my wedding invitations (oops).

Allo,

I have an affinity with Sam Vimes and feel I know all of his work colleagues. In fact I'm sure I've worked with a few.

I can't think of anything witty to say so I sharn't.
Love the shop though!

Hi everyone, my name's Kerrie and I'm 32. I live in the Lake District half of the time and on a cruise ship for the rest.

I first picked up Equal Rites one rainy lunchtime in a school library when I was around 11 or 12. I, of course, got sucked into Discworld and later found out that Sir Terry was one of my Dad's favourites too. This was a very important discovery as it meant that, between our two birthdays and shared Christmases, we never let a new Pratchett book slip by unread!

I don't collect Discworld memorabilia (mainly due to being a bit of a nomad), nor have I ever been to any events, but I would love to start getting involved. I'd love to hear from anybody who has any advice on how to do that!

Outside of Discworld, my interests are mainly books, travel and friends... not necessarily in that order.
