Yes Perryvic. come and chat on here in Wincanton events section and ask us what is happening and what happens. Look forward to meeting you and your friends.

Hullo, Every One !
I am a newbie. Was introduced to Disc World by my BIL, RSoak via Guards! Guards! , and as (then) Captain Vimes "folded gently into the gutter outside the Watch House" , I was HOOKED ! Ended up reading that book that night, non-stop. Next morning I was clamoring for MORE ! Luckily, both RSoak & Sir Terry were there for me and I have managed to sate my addiction for Disc World since that time. Have gone to NADWCon 2011 & 2013 and discovered that I like those folks (that would be YOU!) that also like the books - as much as I like the books.

And then, in a dark place, later than moonrise and far earlier than sunrise, someone said, "Psst ! Hey you! Have a look at some STAMPS, eh?" and, BLAMMO ! I was hooked all over again ! And with guidance & gifts, I was led here, to the bosom of the Cunning Artificer - to be nurtured and groomed, so that someday, I can say (from the shadows of a dark place), "Psst ! Hey you ! Have a look..."

I don't care that he's not a "new" member, but as he's posted in the Tell us about yourself thread I would like to say hi and welcome back to Barrie.

We've missed you.

Hey Jax I totally agree,
Barrie is a stalwart; the forum and events are much lessened without him.
His designs and inventions were highlights of the Wincanton and Convention events.

Hello to Obliquesque (hope I spelt that right, was from memory!)

Welcome to our weird, wonderful, nutty and international community. We have Yanks (Americans from all over the States!), Finns, Brits, Aussies, Romanians, Germans, French, and Om only knows what other countries my brain is currently refusing to tell me about!

Come in, pull up a chair and call the cat a bastard.

Well, I call mine a cowbag, anyway! :D

Looks right to me-- but anything remotely close will do, tbh. It's not a screenname I typically use (I don't necessarily want people who "know" me in other internet places to realize I'm such a geek without being prepared), so I'm not all that attached to it. ;-) Hooray! I can see I'm in good company. :-D

Dang cat. That's right, kitty. Talkin' to you.
(My husband recently started working an opposite shift to mine ((he missed the extremely persuasive handwriting, however)), and I've found myself having more and more idiotic conversations with that little spiky fuzzball. "Is you fluffy? Oh who, fluffy fluffy? Yes, you ARE fluffy! Fluffy fluffy fluffy. Yes you a-- er... please disregard the preceding comments. I'll just get back to my book now, if you'll get your tail out of the way-- your FLUFFY FLUFFY TAIL OHHHH SO FLUFFY!" I'm going mental.)
