 At least you're organised enough to buy cards! Had a lovely time at Skipton, it was fab to see everyone again and to meet Owlswicks Apprentice (did I get that right? ). Ian's quiz was amazing and the free gift was an inspired touch. Bernard bear has settled into the caravan and is looking forward to camping out with me until Christmas.

We really enjoyed the meeting and seeing everyone again. You were missed Colin. Ian's quiz was just evil!
We even had fun going back to the car park with Heather - love the jacket you bought.

I agree with the above, Ian's quiz was up to his usual standard and the company was magnificent, the biggest problem was getting into Skipton, I think the local council were trying to keep us out. :D

Thanks everyone for a very enjoyable afternoon.
Yes Cara you got it right :thumbl:
Only problem after working very hard not to show myself up with the quiz I now have to devise something of similar quality
Ian thank you for the gift from Crumley's, I was trying to be cool and leave it unopened but was forced into revealing the masterpiece.
The effort going into the quiz and the gift must have been incredible.
Still, here's to the next time and I hope my efforts come close.

Yes,twas and interesting trip to Skipton. Thanks to some poor organising by the secretary, our meeting coincided with not only the monthly Farmer's Market but also the Skipton Christmas Fayre.Parking was at a premium, shall we say. However we did all get there.
Congratulations to Phil(Owlswick's Apprentice) in decyphering Ian's quiz and winning first time up! He will have to come up with the first quiz of 2010! I na burst of unusual symmetry, Ian won first prize in the raffle.
Thanks to everyone for making it a meeting to remember. The locals were most amused-especially with the reading of the American version of Where's My Cow?' 'Head 'em up and move 'em out!
Here's to next year-meeting Mar/Apr details will appear here later.
....And forgiveness walks at my side!

Yes, " I like this liittle shop it's never been open before" Aargh. You know I have no retail will power. I gave it to Jeff when I got home and told him it was my Xmas present from him, now all I have to do is try and squeeze the money out of him

Paul, don't think I didn't notice you pointing at me when you said "There's my cow" :?

Colin - I echo the sadly missed I had to play with my annoying toy with no back up!

Great quiz Ian and congratulations again Phil, pity we didn't tell you if you won you had to set the next one :P

So sorry I missed the meeting, it sounds like it was great fun.
I got roped into babysitting my gorgeous grandson and I can't say no. It takes a 2 hour drive from here to Skipton and then back again so it wouldn't have been worth the petrol for the amount of time I would have had there. Ah, well, maybe next time!

Another lovely day at Skipton, albeit a little more crowded than usual - at least we weren't asked to move for the mayor. Good to see old faces again and to meet Phil, a man who I can say definitely knows his onions (and radhises, cabbages, turnips etc.)

**pauses**

I was surprised you lasted so long with the gift; glad you liked it :D I'm left wondering if the ebayer ended up made up a bigger batch of them thinking there was a run on dolls house cabbages going on ('we never sell any all year then a dozen in one day!')

Until next time.
