Hi all, please select your preferences for the May meeting in the usual way..

I haven't included the first weekend because I believe something is happening in Wincanton then :D

An excellent meeting with a couple of new members joining in too.
Welcome to Pry and Chris, hope you can join us at future meets.

Unfortunately the quiz setter from last month didn't make it, but Mrs Cake (Jane) kindly stepped in and produced a brilliant quiz based on riddles.

1)What is it a man stands up to do, a woman sits down to do, and a dog holds out his leg to do?
a) Shake hands

2)The one who makes it doesn't need it
the one that buys it doesn't keep it
the one that sells it doesn't use it
the one that's using it never knows it being used
What am I?
a) A Coffin

3)What is so fragile that by saying its name you break it
a) Silence

4) Forward I am heavy, backwards I am not, what am i?
a) Ton

5) What object has keys that open no locks, space but no room, and you can enter but not go in
a)A key board

6)Until I am measured, I am not kown, yet how you miss me, when I have flown what am i?
a)Time

7)It has not top or bottom but it can hold flesh, bones and blood all at the same time , what is this object?
a) a ring

8)What is the dot over the letter I called?
a) Tittle

9) What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps?
a) A river.

10) What do bullet proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers and laser priners all have in common?
a) They were all invented by women

The scores from the quiz were as follows
Jacqueiline (IB IGOR) - 6
~~x (SquigglyX)- 9
Bill (Bogieman)- 5
Phil (PRY39)- 4
Phalarope - 3
Chris (Chris Petticrew)- 2

Jane also awarded points for answers that made her smile as follows
Jacqueiline - 3
~~x - 2
Bill - 2
Phil – 5
Phalarope - 3

Leaving the final result as
Equal 2nd Jackie and Phil with 9 points
1st - Me with 11 points.

Thanks again to Jane for stepping in at the last minute.

I'm really sorry I didn't make it! But glad to hear you had a good meeting.

I have been traveling for the last two weeks, to two meetings after each other (and I have another now, but this time "at home"). I optimistically thought I would have oppertunity to get onling on Saturday, but I couldn't.

I owe you a quiz!
