Just to set anyones mind at rest re the parking options at Castle Harkin.I have had further discussions with the seneschal and she confirms that parking should be adequate for our needs. The driveway is only short so no one will have far to walk.See you all in a fortnight.

Our apologies. We would have loved to attend, in fact it would have been my first event of the year, but my mother is coming here for the day. Weemadarthur has to drive over to Bury to collect her and then take her back about 4 p.m. He's really gutted not to be able to be there of course.

I hope you all have a fantastic day.

The Curse of Colin (as it shall henceforth be known) has struck me down and managerial absenteeism at work means it's highly likely I'll now be working Sunday so will miss yet another meeting :x . Sorry folks, but burn a sausage for me please and I want to see photos!

Boooo Ian - we'll miss you :(

Anyone know Pat's postcode? I'll be relying on the satnav for directions. I don't hold out much hope though it sent me on the most indirect route ever from Ormskirk to Adlington the other day. If I'm not there by midnight you'll know it sent me via Ireland!

... it's a dreadful affliction  ... and I should know! But, with less than 24hrs to go, it seems to have left the Midlands behind to afflict one of our Northern brethren

Mind you, there is still time for it to beat a hasty retreat down here ...

Is it sunny in Leeds or do I need to bung the sun in my boot and bring it with me?

Apologies to all for not being there.Had to do my emergency being a best mate bit but best mate much improved, thank goodness!Sounds like you all had a great time..sob!

If anyone has a preference for the next meeting which should be back in Skipton please post your ideas here. That lot from the wilds of Northumbria would like it to be a joint meeting which will be really great as they seem to enjoy themselves with us.

Hope to see you all soon.

Paul

Thanks from us too, food was truly cooked to perfection, I suppose with a reputation to uphold Pat wouldn't risk food poisoning :D

I too am stuffed, but that might be down to seconds of everything

I particularly enjoyed Hunt the Feegle in the grounds all in all a wonderful way to spend a Sunday :D

Yup! Sue & I had a lovely time too ... good company (although we missed you Paul :( ) ... excellent food ... great hosts (special thanks to the lovely Mrs Pat) and a magnificent garden well & truly warmed.

Pat's quiz was ... as always ... 'different' and excellent fun, even though I failed to answer any question on the last three pages.

Thanks folks!
