EEB July 2010 - 31st July 2010

Postby Squigglyx » Tue Jun 29, 2010 11:44 am

July is nearly upon us, time to organise the next EEB meeting.

Jake has promised us a truly devious quiz.

We got a choice of 5 Saturdays in July.

Please select your favoured option via the usual means.

Re: EEB July 2010 - who's coming?

Postby phalarope » Wed Jun 30, 2010 01:10 pm

I'll be postmarking in New London,Connecticut on the 24th, so am pleading for the 31st. (New London is on the Thames River, pronounced with the "th". Wonder how many times I'll say it wrong...)

We have a tie between 24th and 31st, ....

So as 1 member has specifically asked for it not to be the 24th, I'm gonna plump for the 31st. Usual place and time
See you there :D

The Bogieman will be there and playing the tunes on the radio

if anyone wants to tune in while the meeting is on then click on one of the following links.

Windows media player http://s7.viastreaming.net/7570/listen.asx

Itunes player http://s7.viastreaming.net:7570/listen.pls

Then just minimise the player and then you have music while you post :D

Umm, "usual time" isn't that helpful to those of us who haven't been able to attend for a while and so aren't sure when that actually is
Especially when your last 3 threads don't happen to mention it either ;)

Another excellent meeting over.

Well attended by a great bunch of people and excellent conversation (including the pros and cons of tights vs stockings, comparisons of programming languages and more).

A brilliant quiz put together by Jake (see next reply) and won by Anne.
We were honoured by the presence of TWO mods (Kel and Darren) and Darren won the country of the month and is now King/President/Dictator or title of his choice of Belize.

Thanks to all who were there and congratulations to the winners.

See ya all next month
