Right up to the point when the Masterclass Quiz DVD* is inserted in the player.
* One hundred separate moments of hell to think of an answer

Participants will be named and shamed using the following scale:-
    90-100 A True Aficionado
80-90 Good but not good enough
70-80 You could be a slow reader
60-70 So you only like a few of the books
50-60 Too much time at Cons
40-50 Okay... you've seen the films
30-40 You don't know who Sir Terry Pratchett is, do you?
20-30 I'm sure you're getting confused with Harry Potter?
10-20 I only came for the food.
0 -10 I remember it was April 1963 and I saw this bright light in a field....!
I hope everyone is making time to read ALL the Discworld series and the rest of Terry's books before then.

WARNING TO ALL TRAVELLING IN!!!!

Saturday is the International Airshow, when approximately a million people descend on our little sea front.

The area will be heavy with traffic from noon onwards, possibly beforehand as the show starts at 10am this year. You may also have problems parking. I'd suggest heading off earlier than intended, or using the metro system if you can.

Just a quick update on the Mackemese front... 04:30 Friday and Battle Bread (Cheese and Beer Loaf) is in the oven... Granny's traditions die hard !
Quiz alert has gone from "Be Afraid" to " Prepared to be scared witless" and transport is no problem to a pensioner... I am supposed to be vindictive in shoving people off public transport :)
Besides... traffic will have had time to settle long before meeting time and is about 4 miles away from Jonty's gaff.

Special prize purchased for anyone expected to get highest score above 10%... I can see that coming home with me

Apart from that... looking forward to meeting new friends and old ones.

And I just realized it took me two hours to get round to posting this :?
