EEB in August - Erm Month 7a

Postby phalarope » Mon Jul 25, 2011 01:25 pm

Your mod is engaged otherwhere on the 13th so please select your preferred meeting day from the list above. If you go for the 27th, I won't be badgered by Mate wanting dinner at a critical juncture - he'll be back at school doing his Mr. Chips act. :P

Anything but the 20th, that's during Wadfest!

I'll probably be in the middle of moving house on the 27th, so you'll have to do without me (unless I find a way. True addicts almost always do...)

Aaargh! I may be hurricaned at EEB time on Saturday; I have satellite interweb, and it HATES hurricanes  (Good night, Irene!). For that matter, I am not too fond of that weather system myself. May I ask one of you kind regulars to leap in as host / mod if I am not present at 5 minutes after the hour?

Thanks to everyone who attended, unfortunately our supreme leader Carol could only be present for part of the time due to a visit from someone with bad wind named Irene.

The quiz was won by Mazzie with an impressive 10 points out of a maximum of 20 with the French contingent of Anilori and Leia Tortoise taking second and third with 9 and 7 points respectively.

The country raffle was won by Jacqui, who has since declared Thailand as a democracy in which all bars must have a cat.

Has anyone heard from Carol? Is she OK?
