The sausages were wonderful, as were the rest of the named meats :D Many thanks to our hosts Pat and Jan. Jan especially as I suspect most of the backroom tasks were left to her 8)

Lovely to meet up with everyone again.

I have been asked to pass on this missive from Castle Harkin-

From: H.E. StJohn Cholmondeley Featherstonehaigh Beauchamp-Magdalene-Caius

Her Ladyship has asked me to pass on her thanks to all those attending the recent Garden Party and Kaffee Klatsch at Castle Harkin. A convivial atmosphere was maintained throughout and apart from the accident with the barbecue tongs( Pat may not walk for some weeks) all went well. Unlike our colonial colleagues at the R and A Golf-having your balls blown across the grass did not cause any discomfort( the balls were on the trifle). One hand ax, two barbed daggers and a blunderbuss were left behind in the weapons cache. Please collect them at your earliest opportunity. It may be possible to repeat the event in about a years time but details will be dispatched closer to the time. No animals were injured in the preparation of the barbecue. The sausages survived.
Many thanks
