13th is the week of the German Convention.
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

Looking forward to 'Tales from Spokane" ... we have booked 'local accommodation' so we will be enjoying a few days of glorious North Yorkshire too.
We will, of course, be bringing waders & full waterproof/arctic apparel and sunglasses, in accordance with the advice in our trusty guide-book "Advice for Travellers on Survival in Yorkshire in Autumn".

I don't believe it! Somehow, I won Pat's Last Minute Quiz! Okay so it wasn't the hardest thing but I must be starting to remember what I have been reading! Bout time! A ggod time was had by all and much quaffing and scoffing took place. The next meeting should be before Christmas-details to follow.

Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon, even Mum enjoyed it. The apples are lovely Pam and you'll be pleased to hear I left the eggs with Mum (we shared the apples).

It was, indeed, a good meet ... and 'hearty congratulations' to Paul on 'winning' the quiz. This miracle brought home to me the novel concept that one is supposed to try to WIN. And all this time I have thought I was doing very well by coming last-but-one ...

Really good to catch up with old ( some older than others) friends, and thanks to Pam & Daniel for the bounty which departed with us. Delicious, every last bit ... :D
