NORTHERN INSTITUTE BARBEQUE (GUESTS WELCOME)

The Northern Institute have a tradition whereby each year I ruin some perfectly good sausages in my garden, and the time has come to set a date.
One possibility that has been mooted (but is now almost fully recovered) is to hold the meeting on SATURDAY July 21st in the afternoon, and then to decant en masse to Waterstones in Albion Street for their Discworld Quiz https://www.waterstones.com/events/sir- ... quiz/leeds

Other options: Sunday 15th, Sunday 22nd, Sunday 29th. (Following Sunday is UK Con weekend)

Please vote for your favourite date! (Note: The Waterstones event is ticketed at £3 and you'll need to buy those from Waterstones)

Usual Harkin BBQ rules apply: If you like meat, that's fine. If you want veggie, that's fine. If you want vegan, I'll give it my best shot. If you want quality cooking, you've chose the wrong chef)

Many thanks to Sir and Lady Harkin for a wonderful afternoon at Castle Harkin yesterday. Attendees were nearly as crispy as the first batch of sausages, which did however taste wonderful,as the sun beat down on the Motte and Bailey. Much quaffing took place and a mighty quiz was set by Sir Pat which led to the winner receiving a former Terry Pratchett owned bottle of brandy-miniature! There was even an appearance by the lost members of the Northern Institute-Pam and Daniel-who had finally surfaced after their honeymoon! A good time was had by all.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo I missed it! Life is currently pants and I totally forgot about it, which is a shame as I could have done with some good company to cheer me up. I’m glad you all had a great time though x
