Tiny 2004 Blue Triangle?

Postby PonderingStibbons » Thu Feb 13, 2020 12:26 am

Hey folks, just curious about a recent acquisition so I figured I’d go to the pros. I decided to roll the dice and pick up what was stated to be a 2004 Brass Bridge Blue Triangle but when it arrived I noticed it was significantly smaller than the other two blue triangles (Small Gods and New Ankh station) I own. Are all the Blue Triangles the same size or have I been had? Thanks!

I'm not a pro but the short answer is No and Probably not.

The Blue Triangles vary in size from 6cm by 3cm to 7.2cm by 3.6cm
apart from the Brass Bridge which is significantly smaller than the others 4.8cm by 2.5cm.
(quoting from the all knowing Steve's Stamp Catalogue)

So, to recap, No the blue triangles are not the same size as each other
and You've probably not been scammed (unless its even smaller than 4.8cm by 2.5cm)
Anyway, size isn't everything, what about the perforations ?

Your best resource for these kinds of questions is the online Discworld Stamp Catalogue http://www.discworldstampcatalogue.co.uk/shshome.php The page for the Brass Bridge Triangle is http://www.discworldstampcatalogue.co.uk/shshome.php which states that this stamp is 48 mm wide by 25 mm high. Temple of Small Gods is 75 wide by 38 high.

Congratulations on your new treasure! :D :D :thumbl:
