Help please- Can anyone identify this sheet ?

Postby elmstead » Thu Apr 08, 2021 12:56 pm

Can anyone help identify this sheet ?
I'm guessing Lawyers Guild stickers, but why were they printed ?
What year was it produced ?
Why isn't it in the Discworld Stamp Catalogue ?
I've looked in the ephemera section but can't find it.

Thanks!

I cannot read what is printed on the stamps.
Could you provide a higher res or type the test out for a few?

Got it now.
I think the sheet was part of the Assassins' Guild writing set, which also included paper and envelopes.
When I checked my box the sheet wasn't there, so I am not sure.

I have the Assassins writing set and its definitely not part of that.
The wavy lines are writing LUCRE SERMAT so its definitely a Lawyers Guild thing

the top of the sheet looks like this

These were, I believe, prototypes for the Laywers' Guild 1p. Never released, only available from Colin Edwards.

These are the stickers from the Assassins Guild Notelets (a different item to the Assassins Guild Stationery set which came in a tin and had headed notepaper and envelopes)(and stamps) Maybe there was going to be some Lawyers Guild Noteless ?

Trawling the internet, the mystery labels are referred to as the LAWYERS' GUILD STATIONERY LABELS by none other than Colin Edwards and according to his description they were sold in the Emporium Shop. Presumably as sticky labels rather than perforated as stamps.

Can anyone confirm/deny this ?
