Hi sorting through some old stamps, I've found one that I don't think appears in the catalogue !

Its a black penny patrician with A M in the top corners and cabbages at the bottom.
Its very similar to the penny civic, but with the cabbages and letters swapped over.

Am I missing it searching the catalogue or have I found an oddity?

Thats why I couldn't find it. The bottom corners are roses (as in YotTR) not cabbages - so nothing like the Civic Cabbage

Ooops my mistake  . It was the cabbages in the selvedge that made me thing it was the civic. Thanks for clearing it up.

A nice non-sheet Sport to find though. A pleasant surprise

Don't apologise. It keeps us on our toes. If I didn't have the galleries feature to check it probably would have prompted me to create one :D

Hi Steve,

I'm still in the process of relocating my collection into new albums based on your catalogue pages.
I'm currently working through the Year of Happy Goose and have downloaded your album pages, but there seems to be a page missing
PS0217 $1 Clacks Pseudopolis Lilac

The idea of adding the individual pages are an afterthought, so I was retrofitting them. I obviously missed SHS0217. I have now added it.
Thanks

Thank you very much...
Only 6 more years worth to go, I'll let you know if I find any thing else

Today's find....

From the 2011 7 Glorious Years LBE, I've found a Sport of the 7 Glorious Years Emberella featuring Bernard.
Only the common version appears in the catalogue.

Possible name .... The B.J.Pearson (Bernard Jenny) :)

I don't know how I got it but I have a sheet of the stamps ( 8 rows and 4 columns). However, the bottom corner stamp is missing. I wonder what was there.

Following a chat with another collector I have made changes to the Year Galleries.
The original layout was based on the date the prime stamp was issued. This meant stamps such as the Merchants' Guild Farthing overprint appeared with the original in the 2005 Prawn gallery, and the Bonk transformations were also shown in a block.
I have now amended this so the individual stamps will appear in the year group they were issued in (Merchants' Guild Farthing overprint is in the 2010 Goose gallery) and in date order.
In most cases, the stamps still appear in the same gallery and enblock with the sports and variations.
The Type galleries are unchanged.
