I've no idea what the listing is about but I suspect it may have some original connection to an erstwhile member of this forum, TomFoolery, from the reference on the reverse of the item both to that "name" and to "letterpress" (something he mentioned in this post).

Unfortunately, he last logged into this forum four years ago today so I don't suppose you would have any luck trying to contact him through this place to ask.

The ebay listing doesn't look like it is his as he used to trade on ebay under the name "tomsmagiccorner" (http://forum.discworldemporium.com/viewtopic.php?p=604291#p604291) which is still an active ebay username.

Although he's not currently selling anything on ebay, he has purchased within the last month, so he might reply to an ebay message if you were interested to investigate the provenance of this item. Let us know what you find out if you do find out anything interesting and Discworldy.

Tom Foolery didnt make it to Wincanton but did send some stuff for the auction. His posters are letterpress, there was one in the bundle of things he sent.

Patrician Place sport for 600 Pounds - all I can say is, I applaud the seller's optimism

Tom Foolery here under a different user name (Tom Foolery user name never wants to work).

These badges are not Discworld items the only link would be, I sold or gave them way at a Wincanton event however I would sell or give them away anywhere I appear with my flea circus. The actual badge was me being a skin flint and not wanting to waste a a damaged letter pressed poster. These posters are £25 each including postage and packing (printed in my uncle's printing press). If any one would like a free badge from the same poster used to make the pin on ebay, I might have a few hanging around so pm me.

I hope this clears a few things up.

Oook!

I wasn't collecting in 2004/5, so I don't know if this is a genuine Discworld item - but I love the "May the Mighty Prawn Guard & Guide Your Every Step"

If that gets sold at that price, I have a houseful of stuff which should make me very rich. :)
