I'm really pleased for you Charlie! It would have cost a lot more to buy all the stamps individually. I figured that you'd be bidding so I didn't bid on them. It didn't seem fair to drive the price up for you.
I can only conclude that I'm paying off Karma at a vastly accelerated rate.

Thanks! :D I won it at my maximum bid, so any higher and I wouldn't have won.

Pesonally I think this is a little high on the starting price, but its theirs to sell and up to bidders to decide whether that want it that much.

Well..... he/she says it's a 'reluctant' sale, so I guess if someone actually bids then the reluctance factor will decline proportionally to the price :P

The price is up to the seller and bidders, I have no problem with that. I do think the description "one of only a handful in the world" is a bit of a stretch.

Oook!

If you can fit 100 of something into your hand without dropping any, then they're a handful :D

If everyone with one of these stamps would like to send them to me, I'd be willing to take time from my busy schedule to try this complicated experiment

I see what you mean. Although I would actually take a handfull to mean about five (which can be counted on one hand).

On the last 6 lots I bid on I lost. The librarian sport and crumbling tower sport both went higher than I had planned before I could bid and too late for me to bid over.
