Yeh maybe, but as you say it is tempting. My wife said put a bid in but she was joking. I did not laugh.

What books are everyone looking for? I'm gonna be selling all my Discworld books on eBay in a couple of weeks including a few first editions (it's taken me ages to collect them all but I need the money to fund a house move!!) so I might have some that people here need? If anyone's interested then reply to this message and I'll try to make a list of all the editions and publishers that I've got.

p.s. I wish I had COM 1st edition to sell!!

Just been reading through and seen this message - I did exactlly the same when I first started reading Discworld but with Fifth Elephant (seems like ages ago now!!). I bought Fifth Elephant but couldn't get into it. Then I bought The Truth and loved it and have been a mad fan ever since!! It's cost me tons to collect all of the earlier books in the series and I'm gonna hate selling them, but a 1 bedroom flat just isn't big enough!!

My husband couldn't afford hardback when the first books were published but after seeing some of the prices he wishes he had
I have to pan myself out tho as can not afford them all at once

I need Guards!Guards! in Hardback with cover, any edition is fine as long as the binding is still decent. Also all the Diary's except the Fool's guild, unwritten in, but other than that I am not so fusy so long as it is in good condition. All my books tend to be reading copies so they don't have to be perfect. Also this isn't exactly a book but I think there was a Wincanton publication at an event a year or so ago with a speach by Terry? I just missed getting a copy from Bonsai Trading and am now kicking myself for not writing down the title. Also if you have any ISIS audio CDs of the books they are extremely hard to track down over here.

Right just to put everyone out of there misseries visit here WWW.abebooks.com just type in the name of the author and title of the book and a list will appear, you can refine your searches so you can look for that elusive 1st and it'll give you a massive choice normally, but read the discriptions very carefully so you know what you are buying, oh and by the way to purchase you will need to register but it is free and very safe. I hope this helps :D

You can get American Book club editions......... same cover and not many differences, printed in larger numbers in 1983?

Somebody will know the numbers for all the COM editions

It's a nice book and you can still get a mint copy

I know if my partner bought me one, I would be very pleased.......... actually in my case I would be amazed
