Seems perfectly fair to me. I'd love the opportunity to get one of these very rare and no doubt very valuable stamps for absolutely no cost to me whatsoever. I mean, it's not as if I've just shelled out a fair old wodge of cash to get my greedy little mits on one of these babies.... ~sigh~

I now heartily second unohoo's suggestion that those who already have one are not excluded from the chance to win one in the competition.

A competition is a Good Idea! Making the question actually a bit challenging is also a good idea.

Of course, it will be open to all.
MInd you, in your case your lovely wife will have to fill in the postcard., as I know you are still having trouble with joined up writing!

One entry per forum member, not counting the people who have registered twice by mistake

I think this is fair, otherwise it becomes the contest of who can fill in the most postcards in a two week period.

It keeps the entry down to a hatful ( rather than a binful) and it's the same odds for all

Bernard or more likely Isobel ticks them off as they arrive to ensure no duplicates

What say you all?

So when is this comp going to be done?

Definitiely one entry per person or one per journal subscriber for preference - it should be fair and fun, not a cynical attempt to send in as many postcards as possible to up your chances.

or instead of a postcard why dont we send a pm to Bernard with the answer, therefor there can oly be one per person.

when I said rushes to buy postcards I did only mean I would send one entry as with all comps you can only enter once

The pm idea might work too, though the postcard entries have more retro appeal  .

Wasn't aimed at you Maxie - just establishing a few commonsense ground rules, so that someone doesn't waste a lot of money sending tons of postcards when you're only allowed to enter once.
