I'm sure we'll get official confirmation when it's been claimed. But it would be quite reasonable to delay any such announcement until most of the batches of LBE's have been delivered, even to foreign parts. That way people can indulge in a reasonable amount of hope and anticipation. Time to exercise the P word I think!
It's a bit early to grab your gold panning kit and head down to Wincanton!

Visited the shop today to see the troops.
I got my hands on the Gold Patrician :D
Unfortunately I had to give it back :(
Lovely piece of work; superb engraving.
My problem is should the stamp appear in the Catalogue as a stamp? Not sure the owner will stick it on an envelope.

Am very, very jealous you got to hold the Gold Patrician!
I think it should go in the Catalogue under its very own category ( with a nod to the messers of Monty Python) called the Holy Grail

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Stampy Fraternity. Raise a cheer! I'm thrilled to say that the Gold Patrician has been claimed! One lucky collector will soon be receiving this little bit of Discworld treasure which, hopefully, will delight them for many years to come.

Phew, we were beginning to think we'd have to keep the blasted thing!

Right, now its been claimed, and in the spirit of Knobby Nobbs  hows about making a few wagers on who won it?, as it has taken so long for the confirmation to reach Wincanton, I can deduce it has gorn to forn parts.

I lay a wager on Catch up at 100/1 ( bet she hasn't , bet she wished she had! ) :D

I really hope it's gone to a loving home where it will be cherished forever :D but at the risk of being a cynical old moo, I'm willing to bet it'll turn up on eBay! what odds would you give for that?

Sadly a cynical odds on favorite 50/1 :( let us hope it is loved cherished, and aired to the rest of the slavering collectors on occasion, it would make a fantastic bit of jewelry.

True Discworld bling!.

The treacherous thought does occur that if it did turn up on eBay it would give us another chance to get our covetous little hands on it......I probably don't need both kidneys and I'm sure I could spare quite a bit of liver before I started turning yellow......

Nope! It wasn't me. :( But, that's ok. Never in a million years did I expect to win it. I'm just not that lucky.
