Nature imitating Art?

A Scottish postman has been having a bit of trouble of a kind we should all be familiar with... Poor man let his work pile up on him...

His defence - ""I was finding it difficult to concentrate or cope with the demands of work and general daily life. " errr doesn't virtually everybody else have to manage that?
There were 5,000 undelivered postal items recovered, said to be junk mail. He had time to separate out the junk mail from the real mail items? It would have been easier just to deliver everything.

You'd think it would be more stressful to hide all of it.

I recall a postman in a Larry Niven tale who saved up all the junk mail and delivered it all once a month with the greeting "Happy Trash Day"... That would work.
We keep a paper recycling box by the letter box and junk mail gets no further than that!
