I did sit out the LBE madness, since I had ordered my commemorative set at midnight and have several Season Tickets. Decided not to be any greedier, and needed my sleep anyway. Wish there was a way to consolidate multiple orders, say from one 24-hour period, into one and save P&P (since I pay Worldwide). Now looking forward to posting in the Good Post / Bad Post thread in a week or so. :D

Oook!

I got a friend to buy some extra LBEs for me, which didn't help with the anxiety - on the one hand I was there with her, explaining how and where, but I couldn't actually TOUCH the computer!

Then as she gets to the payment part, it turns out that her PayPal account needed a new credit card  - so off she goes, running up and down the apartment looking for a card, while I could only sit by and chew my knuckles :( :bounce:

But it seems that once you reach the PayPal page your items are secured :thumbl: since by the time she got back, typed in the new card's number and got the payment completed the clock showed 5 minutes past the hour. But I had an order confirmation in my email last night (when I FINALLY was able to reconnect to the rest of the planet for the first time since Wednesday afternoon) :sunny:

I take this as a sign that the Lord doesn't disapprove of what we did, and that this year is getting off to a darned good start!

Hopefully the first few LBEs should be arriving with their new owners very shortly. Something I forgot to mention, good old Peter Dennis was kind enough to come and visit us to approve the designs and subsequently signed a few of the stamps, which have been sprinkled throughout the LBEs - he also signed a few blank stamps, which I thought I'd chuck in too. Might make a nice display on a stock book page... So if you get a scribbled on stamp - now you know :)

Is anybody else in Britain still waiting for their LBEs?

I was on holiday in Crete on the big day...

Put some LBEs in my basket whilst the other half was having her shower, doing her hair and other womanly things. I knew we would be away from the hotel at 10am (12:00 noon in Crete), but hoped I would be in range of some internet access so set my alarm for 11:55. The appointed hour arrived and as expected no access available, so reset the alarm for the afternoon session Got back the hotel in plenty of time and sat relaxing by the pool, checking the internet access occasionally with no problems. Anticipation was building as the golden hour approached, logged onto the site, hit refresh and then at 17:59....... I got the following.... Unable to access site, please try later.
I tried fruitlessly for another 10 mins but to no avail.

Just have to wait for my 1 season ticket LBE with my next order now :(
