Stamp Year Poster

Postby steeljam » Thu Aug 06, 2015 04:21 pm

A little spare time is a useful thing.
I have written a routine to display all the stamps, including sports, variants and overprints, for a given year.
You might find it useful. This is very basic code that discovers the stamp images.
If it proves to be useful I could write code to display the stamps in the same format as the existing definitives.

2004 : 2005 : 2006
2007 : 2008 : 2009
2010 : 2011 : 2012
2013 : 2014 : 2015

It also works with LBEs and Emberellas

LOVING THESE!!! :thumbl: :thumbl: :thumbl:

What are they listed under on the Catalogue?

Especially love seeing all the Emberellas together! :D At the risk of driving you crazy, would it be possible for them to appear in chronological order (with the most recent at the top)? **ducks to avoid clip round the ear'ole** :mrgreen:

Simple yet effective. Can take a little time to load, but one would expect that.
If you are going to work further on this I suggest a name or title for each stamp in addition to the SH number
You are welcome at The Discworld Stamp Collector on FaceBook and The Discworld Stamp Collector web site which has in-depth reviews of some issues and collectable items.

That is what I think. I am thinking of creating a pdf for each year so it could be printed.

This is excellent, Steve. Thank you! :thumbl: And a pdf for each year would be a wonderful thing. :sunny:

The emberellas seem to be in no particular order and given the number really need some way to break them up.

Doodles, Disckworld Adverts, Conventions, Forum Year Stamps, Green Cabbage, Envelope from Wincanton Stickes and others(?).

Or the way you do on the website {he adds later trying to make it look like I know what is going on }.

I was a bit lazy with the LBEs and Emberellas.
The Emberellas do have an order
ead = Adverts
eca = Cunning Artificer
ecn = Convention
edr = Drawings (although I think I will change this to doodles)
edw = Discworld
edy = Dyslexic
efc = First Class
ehw = Hogswatch
erw = Roundworld
est = Saints
ewn = Wincanton
eyr = Years
