Security breach!

Postby the_apprentice » Thu Jun 16, 2016 02:53 pm

Well, dear friends, it's come to this. Stamp news is, as you know, a closely guarded secret. Alas, for all our coded messages, secure storage, armoured drawers and sulky guard-cats, it appears we've had a breach!

It is alleged that on or about the weekend of the Gathering of Loonies Wincanton Chapter event a Discworld Stamp fan was seen to be loitering with intent, late one Friday eve. His silent vigil sustained for gods knows how many hours. At approximately 1900 hrs our poor, innocent stamp deliverer, Eilis, arrived with a package of newly minted flataly. Pounced upon, she was. Before she had time to practice her Emporium Martial Arts training, the suspect overpowered her with cunning use of enthusiasm and friendliness! Eilis was utterly defenceless to his charms and it is evident that the contents of her secret package was compromised!

Eilis has, of course, payed the ultimate price for her part in this debacle. She will be missed.

The suspect is still unknown to us at this time but, by Murgatroyd, if we find out who it was (or if we find his lips loose) - he shall find himself upon the naughtiest of naughty steps. You can bank on that.

I have no idea what you're talking about! I was actually having a beer with no lesser person than :D Bernard himself at the time, up at Uncle Toms, so I'm completely in the dark about this issue. :D

I feel this man doth protest too much; his story is full of holes.
It is well known that Bernard never drinks beer in Uncle Toms; he drinks cider.

I think you'll agree that I said I was having a beer... I made no mention of what Bernard was drinking...

Hah! you know that B will drink ANYTHING!

Just to keep you lovely folk abreast... We're aiming for a stamp release on WEDNESDAY!

I'm thrilled to reveal that I've been conspiring with the lovely David Wyatt once again. I've designed a couple of stamps, one illustrated by David and one by me own fair hand.

How wonderful... I'm so looking forward to seeing them! (for the first time!)
It would have been most impolite of me to inform on Bernard. ( No secret squirrel I). I have no Idea what he may, or may not be, allowed to drink, (by medical decree). And as such even to suggest that output of several cider presses, running simultaneously, and flat out, were required would be a vile calumny. So I shan't! :D

Does River Song from Doctor Who have a slightly dodgy uncle that we don't know about?
Or is it some sort of medical affliction affecting those unfortunate to live too close to that Great Stink that is the River Anhk?
