Loving the sinister threat of mortal peril lurking on the rooftops opposite the Hogfather with his sack of presents - gets in to the true spirit of an Ankh-Morpork Hogswatch!

So ask yourself . . . have you been naughty or nice ?

I see the mini-sheet has gutters unlike most of the buildings in the scene :?

There's what looks like a gutter, or at least a downpipe on the building underneath/to the right of the Assassin, but I see what you mean about the double perfs - a bit distracting on the minisheet, I grant you, but it would have been tricky to frame the 3 main areas for the stamps themselves otherwise

Think of it the Dibbler way, you get an extra few perforations lines thrown in for free . . .

... or treat yourself to the FDC as well

Here's the full illustration*, minus the perfs, taken from David Wyatt's website.

For those who like to peak behind the curtain like me, there a design concept drawing and a work-in-process photo on his David's website blog page that's worth an Oggle - I always like seeing how these illustrations develop from concept to finished piece :D

From Linn's Glossary of Philatelic Terms: Gutter: The selvage separating panes on a sheet of stamps. The gutter is usually discarded during processing. The gutter may be unprinted, or bear plate numbers, accounting or control numbers, advertising or other words or markings. Selvage: The marginal paper on a sheet or pane of stamps. Selvage may be unprinted or may contain printer's markings or other information.

So technically the printed portions of the design between the stamps aren't gutters. I know there is a term, but can't think of it off the top of my head. Us Flatelists know what we mean though.

I was using a slightly different definition.
Gutter pairs are a set of two stamps connected by a central label with or without printing on the label. The central label that separates panes of stamps is not itself valid for postage, but labels with "traffic lights" and other markings are often highly sought by collectors. Gutter pairs or gutter blocks must contain complete stamps on both sides of the gutter, with or without perforations.

Oook!

The 2007 Thieves Guild sheets - 5 Pence & 7 Pence - had this sort of thing (though with less picturedness), and they were described as gutters.

My LBEs have just arrived :D :D :D

I got 2 out of 3 of the sports for the AM Hogswatch triptych stamps: the missing star on the Hogswatch tree and the candy cane Susan*

Am missing the Piddling Pig and the Hogfather sports though, so might just have to order some more LBEs . . .

What did everyone get in their LBEs? Did anyone win the sheets or get Triangles, Clacks-o-grams etc?

Alas my order was incomplete, and I was missing 5 LBE's... (Now sorted, and have them to look forward to!) The one LBE that did come contained a Penny Hogfather sport! An excellent way to start... :D
The cover, mini-sheet, and Sheet of Hogfather Penny issues were lovely!
Is it my imagination or are the stamps on the 50P Mini-sheet slightly wider than the standard issue?

Nope, not just you - the stamps on my mini-sheet are definitely wider too, especially the Tree in the middle and the Assassin on the right, which seem to be wider than the Hogfather on the left - do these count as sports or variants?
