Hogswatch 2019

Postby CanadianGadfly » Mon Nov 18, 2019 09:47 am

It's that time of year when thoughts turn to what can we expect for Hogswatch. On average, our Hogswatch offerings turn up around the last week of November - so I thought I'd speculate. Will it be another panorama broken up into separate stamps? A batch of colourful first day covers? A portrait of the Hogfather in all his porcine glory? Happy children frolicing before the fire on Hogswatch Eve? Snowy Ankh-Morpork on Hogswatch Day? Or blackened stockings full of coal? Any hints at what delights we can expect for our Wild Boar holiday time? :bounce:

In a bold move by the Emporium, they decide to bring in 'make yer own' stamps. These are just a empty frame with the value along with a pack of crayons (cos we can't be trusted with pens).

Or the BSJ festive edition that can also double as a bed sheet.

You had to give them ideas didn't you. You just had to do it.

Coming to a PC near you shortly

They have already done that without the crayons. Bernard got there first. :D

Nope. There was at least one issue that had blank stamps in which later he then started to draw on. I think this is when Bernard found the perforater unattended. Mind you Ian is just as bad.
Steve has a lot of these drawings listed on the catalogue, not sure where.

I still think they should do a perfin or similar. Ian could do serious mischief with a foam block with pins in. A pixie hat shape - you know - for the Perforating Pixie and the Hogfather's elves.
Cheers -

Hello,

Does anyone know if there has been a special sheet for this Hogswatch 2019 edition, which only contains sports? (maybe Ian knows?)
I haven't seen a reference to prize tickets for this kind of sheet, but I think it should exist.
If it exists, it would be good if it is listed in the DW Stamp Catalog, or only specify in the description of stamps Hogswatch 2019, on the site, that no sport-only sheet has been distributed.

As I see it the three sports were on the sheet so a separate sheet would be unnecessary; sports were distributed among the LBEs in the normal way and ratio of them appearing on the sheet (1 every 27 LBEs)
I would be more interested in obtaining a sport only cover.
