It was all new material. A whole riff on William the Conquerer and Henry VIII. Exploding kings. A shoutout to Jean Cleese and a wafer thin mint, which only about a quarter of the US audience caught. Praying tigers. Positivity.

I really want to see him, Tim Minchin, and Bill Bailey do a 3-man show.

Just got last minute Guest list ticket to see Alan Davies, As Yet Untitled being filmed tomorrow :D :D :D It's odd that it's being filmed at lunchtime, as I always pictured it as an evening thing as the guests often seem a bit inebriated

You've been to enough cons to know (I hope) that with a green room offering alcohol people start getting tipsy at anytime of day. And their green room won't be stingy and only offer one drink...

Just got back from a nice kayak trip with Mate. Loads of birdies, turtles, a snake swimming across the creek. Picnic lunch afterwards. We went out of a state park, but on a Tuesday it was deserted. :thumbl:

Got to meet David Tennant and Freema Agyeman at the Motor City Comic Con! :D :bounce: They were both so lovely! The con itself was horribly organized though, and they way oversold the VIP tickets, so all of the rest of our time was spent queueing.

So I hear the Prime Minister has finally resigned . . . may I suggest the perfect replacement?

The best part was when we walked away from the autograph session and Vivian put her hand over her heart and said, "He SAID my NAME!" in a breathy, dreamy way.

And, congratulations on the vacancy! Wish we could get one over here.

I watched our old neighbors little girls for several hours yesterday. They're 3 and 7. It's been a LONG time since I've entertained little ones. They were SO funny! The 3 year old spotted a picture of Ava on a horse, jumping a fence. She said, "Who is that on that horse? That's a bad idea! She shouldn't be doing that, she could get hurt." When I said that both the girls and I take lessons and they teach us how to jump, she looked at me like I was quite possibly the dumbest creature on the face of the earth.
