I love my new pet - a venus flytrap.

within 24 hours of being introduced to it's new home (west facing window) it had caught the fly that had been driving us nuts. It hasn't even finished digesting that fly when I discover another closed trap - it appears to be eating spiders too!!! (the legs are sticking out of the trap)

Name the deamon and it can be destroyed... and it's name is Alzheimer's

Latest purchase from the emporium arrived this morning,15 years of Discworld stamps first day cover and the mini sheet.
Only had time to glance at them but they looked rather nice, can't wait to get home to have a proper look :bounce:

My gym membership had been overcharging me and finally agreed to refund the full amount of overcharge going back to April. And I hadn't even gotten all that nasty yet. Gotta respect a manager who knows when to stop arguing.

On a cruise offshore to the edge of the continental shelf I scored black-capped petrel, long-tailed jaeger, parasitic jaeger, and Leach's storm-petrel, along with two Pterry fans. Instead of wearing birding themed clothing, I had on my 2009 NADWCon t-shirt and an Ankh-Morpork City Watch Pseudopolis Yard sweatshirt, and Assassins' Guild socks.   All field marks of a Discworld fan.

Went to Maryland Renaissance Festival on Sunday. Had on my Unseen Uni sweatshirt. First shop I went into, the help screamed and said "I looove your shirt!" 20 minute convo with other staff about Terry and Discworld ensued. New reader converted. My people! :sunny: :sunny:

I still talk of Terry in the present tense

Awwwww that's so sweet! I hadn't seen that one. Feegling to be sure.

.... I don't think there's an emoji for feeling sentimental and comforted but sad at the same time.
