I know so many costumey crafty people's lives that it describes perfectly

I got some books delivered, wrapped in brown paper. The paper had been torn, so the Post Office put it in a special plastic wrapper, with a profuse apology.

The plastic wrapper was also ripped...
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

Consistency in performance seems to be a corporate goal there. :P

Oook!

After many misunderstandings, exchanges of cat photos*, and my local Postal Service just NOT DELIVERING ! I got my Hogswatch prizes! :D :thumbl: :sunny: :bounce: 8) :D

Which my local Postal Person crammed into my PO box so hard he** nearly folded the envelope in half! Always good for a Sport FDC, not to mention the oversized sheets
But a week spent under a heavy box put that to right :sunny:

* This is how I let them know I'd gotten prize tickets:

** or she - never seen them, so I couldn't say. I know that my parents mail is delivered by a she (possibly a sidhe - I didn't check under her hat for the shape of her ears)

Some wonderful, generous, thoughtful person sent me a copy of the memorial book. There was no name, and I am moved to tears. <3

A large envelope with a copy of Wildlife Yorkshire containing an article about the crabs of Yorkshire :thumbr:  arrived in the mailbox. At first glance at the handwriting on the address I thought it was from my investments broker, then I saw the UK postage label. 'nk you Hansolobiker!
