Well, I don't boast, and I believe Rincewind was making a statment of fact, rather than boasting.

Have an opinion and don't be wishy washy. Rememebr it's okay to disagree and we respect you more when you respect our opinion even when you disagree. Don't change your stance on something unless someone truly does make you look at it a different way, agreeing with us all the time is just as annoying as always disagreeing.

These usually are the ones who aren't actually so successful, or at least aren't the ones the ladies actually prefer to spend time with and talk to. Just being comfortable with yourself and open with people is often a better route.
