...and I'm still using it, as I found it in here!

Makes a change from the easyJet ticket stubs I normally use.

I usually use the receipt too. But when I bought my HP book they gave me a free bookmark, so I'm using that.

A piece of paper - that way the book eating budgie has something to gnaw on, until she gets board of that , pulls it out, waddles around trying to control something the same size as herself, dragging it across my arm, then throwing it on the floor before declaring: good girl, good good girl, cackling and buggering off

They make great bookmarks! and easy to find if you get a ticket inspector.

I tried that... only if you finish one book and you leave your ticket (which is a monthly ticket for me) it means that you don't have your ticket with you when you start the next book (it's happened to me, anyway  )
Not to mention the risk with library books...

I was camping as I read it and had to stop for little things like, pitching the tent, chatting to my fellow campers and trying not to set fire to myself with the stove an' suchlike....

I have a rather nice brass bookmark which has a turtle and four elephants hanging on a fine chain from the end. It was made by a lady in the US who sells books and makes special bookmarks to go with them - handcuffs & gun for detective stories, bats & daggers for fantasy etc.

But to be honest, I usually use a old train ticket or receipt
