Dinky our furry menace of a caramel tabby, is without a doubt, a Diva. Strange people, strange noises, a slight change to her routine, anything odd, and she usually reteats * as fast as she can in any direction until normality has returned.
Then she re appears, usualy around meal times, looking her usual composed Kitty self.
As Christmas approaches we now have odd packages around, opened boxes, labels, sellotape, and the usual mess of stuff from tissue paper to marker pens lying around, ready to package and label almost anything.
Cats are nosy little b*ggers , today she moaned it is too cold her to go out, so decied on a quiet nosy stroll through the back bedroom, ....she re appeared noisily five minutes later, with her head stuck in the handle of a small brown paper bag, and the rest of it acting like a sail, draped over her shoulders. I trapped her in the kitchen and removed her new " Scarf " .

She is now sulking in the kitchen, as her usual bolt hole, * The place she scarpers too when the world gets far too noisy/un known/loud for her * is now full of pacakged stuff, and empty bags.
Next week I am putting the tree up,....I think I might get her a feliway plug in before I turn on the lights.

I was expecting a similar reaction from the birds - but thanks to the massive ad campaigns that started somewhere around Easter they were happy having a sparkly tree in the living room after all everyone on TV has one now.

(Thanks to the invention of flat screen TVs they are able to see the image - their visual system worked too fast for CRTs to be anything other than noise boxes for them.)

This isn't insanity, more like insanitary. Rudy has a cold. Thus he sneezes. Usually several times upon awakening. He likes to sleep with me at night. Guess who gets showered with kitty snot in the mornings now. Yuck!!!!!

Nice Carol, kitty snot first thing in the morning, ewwww, and having a cold, he wants his Mummy even more, I can only suggest you wear a balaclava to bed, until he is over his cold.

All 3 of my cats love it and on warm days there's sometimes a squabble about who has the sleeping chamber although Oscar tends to win more often than not

Christmas tree brought inside and placed in its stand. Chat lunatique materializes instantly and commences to chew on the lower branches with gusto.  For hours... At least his breath will have that fresh pine scent.

Tonight, Felix the cat is once again sitting on his stool, glued to the tellybox watching Season 7 of Game of Thrones :meow: He is currently trying to catch fire-breathing dragons, bless him - you have to admire his ambition

Chat lunatique has barfed in my shoe.  Fortunately only a bit of fur, not the full American breakfast complete with treats. At least I managed to shove him off the bed before he heaved. Immediately after, he demanded to go out. We had a dusting of snow last night. His look of utter disgust when he discovered this as the door was closing behind him was priceless. Revenge is sweet.....
