sounds like grounds for a D.I.V.O.R.C.E a name like that! :)

Can't really go worng with me first name - Mark. It's the nickname at work that confuses people - Rav. Then of ocurse there's the pun on the last name which is Lennox.

But what really gets my goat are those who call me Marcus or Marky. I had an aunt insist on calling me the latter for ages.

Patrick = Son of a nobleman
Harkin = Descendent of the first Christian settlers in Ireland.

It's mine, I tell you, all mine!

My ancestors didn't exactly land in Ireland, they were shipwrecked. The "light" version of the family coat of arms has two vivid red sawtooth lines across it representing stormy water and the "formal" version has a ship on the rocks!

Our Darren could in no way be seen as a Dazza

I was only joking when I called him 'Dazza'.

But, my name being Edward, I seem to get a load of nicknames. I prefer Ed, but people call me Edd Eddy Eddie Ted Teddy Teddie Tedrick Eddaz.

In fact, due to my last name being 'Best', I get Besty Bestie Worst Worsty Worstie etc.

Life's a bugger...

Shaun = anglicized form of Sean = Irish form of John = English form of Johannes = Latin form of the greek word Ιωαννης (Ioannes), derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan meaning "YAHWEH is gracious".

Rippon = less common form of the town, Ripon
