My 'show off' extends as far as 'take top t-shirt from pile, put it on, sometimes notice what t-shirt it is'

I guarantee mine is less effort than yours, hence superior - to my mind, any way

Last night we held our second great offering to Offler (of 2017), this time we were graced by the presence of an attendant bird :D

{Translation: we had a BBQ and a wild bird joined us for dinner - a male blackbird was eating a few feet away, we also took Merry out for a while}

Had a couple of interesting days.
Friday night was spent in London; Soho, Leicester Square area taking photos of a couple of models in a photography workshop. Totally out of my comfort zone.
The models were great - no inhibitions at all. It was not long before I realised our little group, the models, plus three of us taking turns in taking photographs, holding the lighting unit and managing the battery, were a tourist attraction. Lots of men wanted to chat up the models and have photographs taken with them. I got into conversations about what I was doing and what magazine we were working for. By the end of the evening, I was very relaxed and in my comfort zone.

Saturday was a trip to Legoland for my wife's and grandson's birthdays. It was hot!
Really enjoyed Legoland. We paid for priority parking and extra for the Q-bots, which meant we could jump most of the queues. It was worth it; standing for 30 or 60 minutes in a queue in the blazing sun is not fun. Both grandkids had a great time and there were plenty of exciting rides for a two-year-old child.
The main downside was the queuing for the Q-bots, food, and drink; I would recommend you take your own food and drink. There are plenty of places to have picnics, although few have good shade, which was another downside.
I was tired but happy by the time we got home. Lots of walking and lots of hills.

Are there places that anyone knows of that would make a custom tea cup?

Shirley Jackson's quote about a cup of stars really affected me, and I'm looking for a tea cup with stars on the inside, at least one... But goodness they are hard to find. There are lots of old Eastern Star teacups on ebay, but I'm not an Eastern Star. I saw a how-to with ceramic decals but yeesh that's a whole new art form I'd have to learn.

If anyone knows of something online, let me know?

I've used these people in the distant past

Or just search for "personalized tea cups" on Etsy

The only other thing I can think of is that if you are feeling arty you can buy ceramic markers. They are markers that you can write/draw anything you like on any ceramic (so you can buy a plain cup you like) then you bake it in the oven to heat set the dye (sharpies will rub off in washing so don't bother).

In London there are Pottery cafes that supply the ceramics that you can paint/decorate anyway you want - inside and out. They also provide the paint, brushes, stamps etc., then they fire them in the kilns for you and you pick them up a couple of days later :D

The link I've attached below is to a Pottery Café in Fulham that I've been to because they use Emma Bridgewater ceramic shapes and their Cocoa Mug is my favourite shape to get a decent sized cuppa. It's not cheap mind you, but I've done this a few times with friends and it's a great way to spend an afternoon (kids like it too) and you can create exactly what you want, as many times as you want.

There are other pottery cafes about that use different ceramic suppliers so are a bit cheaper - do you have anything like this near you?

This is the 'Starry Skies' mug from Emma Bridgewater that you can buy online - and they have the same star stamp that you can use in the shop to decorate your own too.

Is this so you can, at coffee time, hold it up and say in a suitably awe struck voice "Oh my god, it's full of stars"?
