Still 111 today. Driving home in massive dust cloud, radio warns we will be having some dust blow in from the southeast. Oh really? Thanks for letting me know, I'll keep an eye out if I can ever see past all this dust.

Ugh! far to funky to sleep tonight, even with a fan in the room, and Martyn in the spare room ( his idea not mine ) anyone else suffering from mild headaches with the heat?
hoping it cools down a tad tomorrow.

I'm wearing my "winter is comign" tee today in the hope the weather gets the hint
[regarding Alan Rickman] He had Tim Curry's ability to save the day by putting literally all the scenery in his mouth and gnawing on it like a deranged woodchuck.

Today is nice, warm, sunny, and a cool 24.2c in my living room,..last night was so humid and muggy I ended up downstairs with a fan on, unable to sleep.
Enjoy it while you can folks, it will not last forever! :sunny:

For anyone wilting in the heat and praying for a spot of rain so they don't have to spend an hour watering the garden every evening, or just those who like a damn good storm, I found this great site that allows you to see in real time where thunder & lighting storms are happening* - there's lightening over the Pennines and east of Edinburgh at the moment.

https://www.lightningmaps.org/?lang=en#y=55.1226;x=-3.4675;z=7;t=2;m=sat;r=0;s=0;o=0;b=;n=0;d=2;dl=2;dc=0;

*for anyone not resident in the loosely affiliated group of islands in the east Atlantic, click on buttons on the left to find your own local storms :wink:

Some nights it rains so hard my car is all clean when I get up in the morning, and some nights it rains so sparsely but with the help of a dust storm, it looks like I drove through a mud shower.

Goood Morning Forum! :sunny: Had a decent nights sleep, with my Bear, and Snoozy B ( Da Bunny ) nice and cool evening last night slept so much better, and got up disgustingly early as Martyn is off to sunny woking today ( Poor thing ) today is cooler, and quite nice, but the sun is barely up, hoping today's temperatures are pleasant not punishing.
Thanks for the storm map Grace! I love a good storm, being able to see them is great , I am a thunderstorm addict. :thumbl:

Tropical storm Hermine* forecast for the weekend. Grrrrrrr. Wind. Rain. Tidal flooding. And it's a holiday weekend, too. :(
*and what's with that name?? How do you pronounce it? Her-meen? Her-mine?? Ermin?? What's wrong with Hermione?? Afraid JK Rowling and Emma Watson might sue??? Huff
