I think I have most of the stuff that I MUST get packed (things on bookshelves that will need to be moved) done. My plan is that on Monday when I get the keys, I try and move as many boxes as I can in my car (it is literally just around the corner so I hope to move a lot). Then on Tuesday the movers are going to move the big stuff. Whatever is left, I'll try to move the following day (unpacking the odd box at the other end as needed to save on boxes). Then down to the family's on Christmas eve and back in time to clean out the old place before the lease is up.

Not sure if this should be an argh instead, but I am feeling fairly happy about my progress so I opted here.

Got to start my first prezzie

I had been drooling at the Waitrose ads for the Wookey Hole cheese - Adrian did ask which type of cheese it would be  . (He's been to Wookey Hole and knows it is Cheddar Gorge)

Found it yesterday, not too bad a price but more than i was willing to buy, So Adrian put it in the trolley for me :D . There is no point in waiting...

Step one - remove the cheese cloth!!! (Yes it comes with instructions inside the packaging) So nice, mid-strength but so deep in flavour. Can I eat through 600g before going to my Mum's? Will have to try... such a chore!

AND knowing she'll be home for Xmas. (So will her brother, but he only has to come about 3 miles.)
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

Great news Jackie! :D

Had my second riding lesson on Monday and I actually cantered!! I couldn't steer at the same time and it was only for 3 seconds, but I didn't fall off either. I was not expecting to try that on my 2nd lesson.

Also, just saw that Doctor Who season 9 is already available on Netflix! :bounce: We usually have to wait ages. Can't wait to start watching!

Her luggage has always made it home with her, it's the flight out where it goes astray! She has been instructed next time she flies she is to adopt an American accent and talk loudly about going home for Thanksgiving to fool the Baggage Pixies.

I have a kiwi colleague called Reece, I decided, as a surprise to get him some reese's pieces as a present.

While in the candy store during my incredibly short lunch I came across something I'd almost forgotten about form the finnish lands

I used to LOVE these things in finland bought two of that flavour and two of the jalepenio flavour

After two prototype batches of truffles (one plain, one orange flavour) I've made a plain batch to give as presents to those who have been there for me this year.
First batch is being delivered tomorrow :)
